This isn’t a typo, nor is it another event where expensive cars drive around in circles. Created by the Detroit duo Joshua Epstein and Daniel Zott in 2009, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. is an electronic, indie, folk, mixing pot band. It’s impossible not to move to their music, but the songwriting isn’t sacrificed by the danceability. The impudently named pair has released two full-length albums and several EPs. The 2011 Austin City Limits alumni saw both albums rank in the top 20 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart before their release.

Exercise your curiosity and enjoy the catchy sounds of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. at Scoot Inn on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, much less than that Fun Fun Fun wristband you’ve been eyeing.
