Monday’s Pick: Noir at the Bar

A tradition that began in Philidelphia, Noir at the Bar was made to join two great American pastimes: drinking and reading crime novels. The gathering of amateur gumshoes and authors spread to St. Louis, Los Angeles, and then MysteryPeople added their sleuthy spin.

This edition of Noir at the Bar takes place at Opal Divine’s (3601 South Congress) at 7 p.m. on Monday. Four authors will attend the event to read from and discuss their works. Discover a new favorite or a new clue in an old favorite, and talk about all things noir with fellow fanatics.

The authors on deck this week are Glenn Gray, Matthew McBride, CB McKenzie, and Jesse Sublett.

MysteryPeople is a division of BookPeople, so any copies of books to be signed must be purchased from BookPeople; they ask that you provide your receipt.
