The cost of going out on New Year’s Eve can start the new year off on the wrong note. Instead of splurging on an extravagant soiree, sport your sequins at Cheer Up Charlies and dance to seven bands who hit all the right notes. Advance tickets are only $5, or $7 at the door.
Performers include A. Sinclair (12:30-1:10), Sphynx (11:50-12:30), Grape St. (11:10-11:50), The Sour Notes (10:30-11:10), and Silk Rodeo (9:10-9:50).
Doors open at 7 p.m.
If you have a little more money to spare, hit up Hotel Vegas for their NYE 1968 party featuring the music of the Beach Boys, Elvis, The Beatles, and many more acts from the time period. The party is spread across Hotel Vegas, The Volstead, and Gypsy Lounge and includes more than 24 acts on four stages.
Tickets for the Hotel Vegas show are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and doors open at 8 p.m.
