This weekend is the final one for the Mexic-Arte Museum’s current Mix ‘n Mash exhibition and art sale. Local, national, and international artists have created original works of art to fit the theme for the current exhibit, and the resulting works are on display and for sale at the museum until Sunday.
The theme for the current exhibition is Lotería, a card game of chance that originated in Mexico. The game, which is similar to Bingo, is played with 54 images printed on cards rather than numbers and letters on ping pong balls. The original 54 Lotería cards are traditionally and broadly recognized in all of Mexico.
The museum (419 Congress Ave) is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and is free to enter.
