Breaking news: another festival is coming to Austin.

For its year one debut, the Austin Music Video Festival (AMVF) will host a free launch party from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Waller Ballroom (700 East 6th Street) with guest speakers, exclusive local music video premiers, and musical performances. See new work from The Bright Light Social Hour and more, as well as live performances from Sorne, Exploded Drawing, and a “special guest.”

Food and drink will be provided from local sponsors Frank, Austin Eastciders, Deep Eddy Vodka, Juiceland, and Independence Brewery.

Later in 2015, AMVF will debut their monthly Austin Music Video Premiere Series at various community locations, as well as their weekend-long festival in the fall.

The AMVF hopes to provide a platform to connect professionals in the city’s film, music, and gaming, and technology industries.

Entry to the launch party is free with RSVP at do512.com/AMVF.
