Looks like we are in for a treat this weekend, Austin.

Yet another brewery is joining the ever-growing craft beer scene in Austin. Last Stand Brewing will open its doors on Saturday in the Dripping Springs area, not far from Jester King Brewery.

A beer garden with seating for 50 to 60 people, a taproom featuring Last Stand’s two flagship beers (a Belgian-style pale ale and a coffee porter), and a food truck serving one of the founder’s own Cajun recipes round out the highlights of Austin’s newest beer haven.

Taproom hours will be from 1-6 p.m. this and every Saturday. The opening also happens to coincide with Last Stand’s neighbor Revolution Spirits’ one-year business anniversary.

Also happening on Saturday, another taproom 18 miles east opens its doors. Independence Brewing Co. has been around for a decade, but this weekend their recently renovated tasting room will be debuted to the public. Beers will be available by the pint and in sampling flights from 1-7 p.m.
