Albert James Bonar Jr. (1947-2013) was better known by his artistic moniker Jimmy Jalapeeno. After studying at the University of Texas — where he worked with legendary documentary photographer Russell Lee — Jimmy worked a day job for nearly 30 years as a photographer for the Texas Historical Commission, while maintaining a prolific practice as a painter and artistic photographer. Jalapeeno and his camera were ubiquitous around Austin for years.
Flatbed Press honors him with an exhibit of his paintings and photographs.
