The theater department at this South Austin campus is taking on one of the most beloved American classics in this stage adaptation: the story of Scout and her attorney father, Atticus Finch.
“To Kill a Mockingbird” takes place between 1932 and 1935 in Alabama, which is seething with racial tensions that come to a head when Scout’s father agrees to defend a young black man accused of accosting a local white woman.
