With good food and music for an even better cause, Jo’s Coffee’s chili tradition continues on Sunday to benefit Urban Roots, a nonprofit that uses food and farming to transform the lives of young people. The chili tasting starts at noon, when people can also begin dancing to live music provided by Jeff Hughes & Chaparral and Jo’s house band.
Winners of the chili contest — who can win prizes like a stay at the nearby Hotel San Jose — will be announced at 3 p.m. The $20 ticket gets you tasting of all chili entries; beer and other beverages will be available for sale.
Details: 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday. $20. 1300 S. Congress Ave. www.joscoffee.com.
