The Austin Film Society’s exploration of Wim Wenders’ films continues with this screening of “Tokyo-Ga.” It’s a diary-like account of Wenders’ travels to Tokyo to discover more about treasured Japanese director Yasujiro Ozu, but while it does place explicit focus on Ozu’s filmmaking, with interviews of his cinematographer and one of his favorite actors, “Tokyo-Ga” also shows off scenes of contemporary Tokyo.
Wenders is a German filmmaker whose movies have received top international awards.
