Grayduck’s newest exhibit, “Akin,” features work from two visual artists employed at the University of Texas at Arlington. Although Carlos Donjuan and Marilyn Jolly come from different generations, with different cultural influences, they both share an interest in the special qualities of materials and color harmony. They strive for a simplicity and directness in their work without sacrificing the content of each piece.
Donjuan is a former student of Jolly’s.
