Sunday
Zilker Kite Festival. Ring in spring at Zilker Park for one of Austin’s most-loved annual events. Create your own kite to compete in contests or buy one for leisurely flying. Tuesday
Texas Rising Stars Concert. For the fourth year, the best of the Austin community orchestras with the best from the Butler School of Music collaborate for a community concert. Thursday
March Wine Walk. Follow a map around the Hill Country Galleria to shop the mix of retailers while discovering wines from all over the world. 5-9 p.m. 12700 Hill Country Blvd (Bee Cave). 512-263-0001, hillcountrygalleria.com.

Friday
SX Create. This official SXSW community event celebrates the new technologies that are shaping our future. See drones, 3D printers, biohacking and more disruptive solutions in action. 11 a.m.-6 p.m, March 11-13. Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd. sxsw.com/exhibitions/sx-create.

Saturday
Art Free-For-All. The whole family can learn all about the Contemporary Austin’s educational programs by creating a new work of art to take home and getting involved in some hands-on demonstrations.
