Artist Laurel Daniel is constantly challenged by the mysterious behavior of color and light, a subject she decided to highlight with “Chasing Color, Finding Light.” In this new show, she focuses on familiar subjects — landscapes, interiors and still lifes — while giving special attention to how they are clarified, sculpted and “colored” by light.
Her works explore the ordinary and the beautiful in both man-made creations and nature, like the white of a hydrangea blossom versus that of a floating cloud.
